Ballet Body Floor Barre

Because floor barre takes moves that you might typically do in a Barre workout standing up onto the floor, you use different muscle groups than you normally would. Jennifer will have you start by sitting in second position; from there you’ll utilize some Pilates inspired moves like full body roll ups that engage your abdominals and work the total body. Performing moves like this on the floor will really help you work that core, giving you toned and sexy abs!
You’ll also do ballet moves like développés that, when done on the floor, are very similar to leg lifts that use controlled movements to help tone and elongate those beautiful legs! Next you’ll transition into more floor barre moves that will strengthen your knees and tighten those inner thighs. You’ll also incorporate isometric holds and pulses which help strengthen and tone every muscle in your body!
This floor barre routine will not only help you lengthen and strengthen your muscles but it will especially work the core body, which is essential for all exercises. By performing these movements you can achieve that coveted dancer’s body—long and lean!—that’s both strong and toned. Jennifer will provide plenty of modification along the way and encourage you to do what’s best for your body in this floor barre routine, making it perfect for fitness lovers of all levels. No formal dance training is necessary for these amazing ballet workouts, just come ready to work those muscles and have a good time!
